Speyside Distillery Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival

Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2016

This single malt Scotch whisky produced at our distillery has been one of the region’s

best-kept secret for years. But the name of the small, picturesque boutique distillery

in Kingussie will be on everyone’s lip when it opens for only the second time at the 2016 Spirit of

Speyside Whisky Festival. The doors will be opening for exclusive tours

of our distillery, SPEY whisky tasting and afternoon tea on the Steam Railway and an Artist in

Residence at the distillery.

28th April – 2nd May 2016

Distillery Visit:

Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival

Come and discover the secret of Speyside Distillery, – a small boutique distillery normally closed to the public.  Nestled against the beautiful Cairngorm Mountains we’re opening our doors especially for the 2016 Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.  Though almost hidden from view, the distillery may look surprisingly familiar to many, as it featured (as Lagganmore distillery) in the popular BBC series “Monarch Of The Glen”.

The most southerly in the Speyside region, and closest to the source of the River Spey, the distillery has been producing spirit since 1990, and now produces the “SPEY from Speyside Distillery” range of single malts. Your bespoke distillery tour shall be hosted by our Distillery Manager, Sandy Jamieson where you can participate in a nosing and tasting from four of his specially selected single malt expressions with varying vintage and cask finishes such as Bourbon, Sherry or Port.  Sandy shall also be sharing with you his wealth of knowledge of the production process, gained over many decades, where you shall discover the secret of creating our Speyside Single Malt.

We shall also be sharing the secret of some unique Speyside malts which shall only be available at the distillery during the festival.

This truly is a unique opportunity to visit our boutique distillery.

Tea/coffee and light bites on arrival are also included in the price of your ticket. For tickets please visit the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival website
